Would we make a good personal training team?
We like to get to know you before we train you, so we request an initial consultation with you in order to find out what you’d like to accomplish. There is no charge for this consultation. We’ll ask about your health history, your exercise history, the general state of your joints, and what your goals are. We’ll give you an idea of how we’d approach your program were you to work with a lifeSport Fitness personal trainer. This is also a great time for you to ask us questions.
If it sounds like in-home personal training is for you and that we’d make a good team, we’ll begin scheduling our future appointments at this meeting. We suggest all our prospective clients check with their physician before beginning any exercise program.
The first workout
Once we’ve decided to work together, our approach is to develop a biomechanically safe and sound program for you and progress you from where you are now to where you want to go. If you want some baseline fitness measurements, we’ll do some fitness testing at this session. We’re aggressive in getting you what you want, but we won’t throw our whole arsenal of strength training exercises or fat loss techniques on you all at once! We’ll start with the basics and progress from there.
We believe in goal setting, so we’ll ask you to write down some of yours. As your goals change, so might the workout we design for you. Once you’ve gotten the hang of the workout, we’ll try push you harder than you’d push yourself (that’s why you’re hiring us, right??). We’ll even make it fun and keep you smiling through it all (okay, through most of it). If you’re under a doctor’s or physical therapist’s care, we’re happy to consult with them to take a team approach to your fitness program.
Billing and Scheduling
We don’t group training sessions into high priced packages or require customers to commit to us for long periods of time up front. We schedule and bill clients on a monthly basis, and you pay for the sessions you have reserved for the month on a pre-payment basis.
We enforce a 24 hour cancellation policy. How often and for how long you see your trainer is up to you. We’ve had some clients for as little as 4 months and some for over 14 years. We’re here for as long as you want our help, coaching and expertise. The choice is yours.
Your commitment is important
We see the personal training relationship as a partnership. We believe that significant results require significant effort. We promise to develop an outstanding fitness program for you, but you must be willing to do the work. We want to work with motivated individuals who are ready to take their fitness to the next level. Fitness is a lifestyle, not just a workout. Therefore, we pledge to be with you every step of the way and even provide you with education and resources outside of your workout to ensure your success. In return, we expect you to put forth the effort and time to make fitness happen.
